The following list of campus groups and student organizations can help you maximize certificate learning outcomes.  Click the links below for more information.

If you or someone you know is struggling with food access, click the links below to learn more information about free, healthy food available for you. 

  • Basic Needs and Services for UK Students connects students with resources to meet basic needs regarding food and housing, providing support best aligned with specific student needs through the Community of Concern.
  • The Campus Kitchen at the University of Kentucky is an on-campus student service organization that provides a sustainable approach to reducing food waste on college campuses while also providing healthy meals to those struggling with hunger. Sign-up to volunteer at, locally sourced lunch is available to all UK students every Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in 207 Funkhouser.
  • The Big Blue Pantry serves University of Kentucky students who are experiencing food insecurity or hunger. Any UK student, with a valid UK ID is eligible to receive non-perishable goods from the Big Blue Pantry by coming to the White Hall classroom building rooms 23 and 25 (basement) next to the Post Office, during open hours
  • ONE Community Cafe is an on-campus community cafe, providing enrolled UK students access to balanced, nutritious meals for just $1.00.
  • The Food Connection exists to serve farmers, food producers, students, and consumers through creative strategies for a vibrant, healthy, sustainable food economy. On- and off-campus, the unit supports innovative and interdisciplinary instruction, high-impact service, and outreach with cutting-edge research on foods and food systems.
  • Center for Community Outreach works to connect student volunteers with community partners for a number of volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
